ROCKFORD, Ill. – State Rep. Maurice West II, D-Rockford, is inviting residents to a series of coffee shop stops that he will host across Rockford on Mondays during the month of March.
“As we consider important issues in Springfield this session, it’s important that I am constantly engaged with the people I represent,” West said. “These coffee shop stops give me an opportunity to meet directly with residents and share ideas together.”
West will host “Coffee with Maurice” on the following dates:
- Monday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Wired Café, located at 414 E. State St. in Rockford.
- Monday, March 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Katie’s Cup, located at 502 7th St. in Rockford.
- Monday, March 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Swedish Pancake House, located at 3601 N. Main St. in Rockford.
- Monday, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Restoration Café, located at 625 W. State St. in Rockford.
“The feedback I receive from residents, whether it’s at a local coffee shop or at someone’s door, influence the decisions I make at the Capitol,” West said. “I look forward to having conversations on the challenges our state and community face, as well as the solutions we need to pursue.”
All events are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact West’s constituent service office at 815-987-7433 or Press@StateRepWest.com.
