“It is an honor to represent the residents of the 16th District, and I look forward to serving on these committees in Springfield to ensure that families back home have fully funded local schools, access to quality healthcare, affordable childcare and economic opportunity,” Kalish said. “I plan on using the committee process to gain a greater depth of knowledge on the issues and to engage in the negotiating process to craft legislation that addresses the challenges facing our community and state.”

Kalish will serve on the following committees: Appropriations Capital; Child Care Access & Early Childhood; Consumer Protection; Elementary & Secondary Education: Administration, Licensing & Charter Schools; Human Services; Prescription Drug Affordability.

“Every child in our community deserves to have quality educational opportunities, and no family should have to choose between paying for healthcare or paying their bills,” Kalish said. “I plan on drawing from my experience advocating for education and healthcare issues to make a mark on legislation that will help families in our area and across the state.”
