SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Lamont J. Robinson, Jr., D-Chicago, will advocate for local priorities by serving on the following committees during the new legislative session: Appropriations – Public Safety, Financial Institutions, Insurance, Personnel and Pensions and Prescription Drug Affordability.
“Each bill must first be debated and voted on before it moves to the House of Representatives for full consideration,” said Robinson. “I look forward to being able to use my expertise as a small-business owner to make policy decisions and making sure our community’s voices are heard as legislation is considered in Springfield.”
While serving on these committees Robinson will prioritize legislation that will promote government transparency, improve best practices for small businesses, and ensure access to affordable health care.
“I look forward to use my position on these committees to make our communities safer, more business friendly, and improve the overall financial health of Illinois,” continued Robinson. “I will continue working with community leaders and other lawmakers to make Illinois a better place for all who live and work here.”
