ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – As a new legislative session begins, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, is calling on local residents to share their ideas for new laws.

“As I begin my term as state representative for the 53rd district, I want to hear from residents about how we can best address the challenges that face our state,” Walker said. “Our community is home to individuals with a variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise, and I would like to tap into their thoughts as we look to advance the interests of our community.”

Residents can submit suggestions or reach out to Walker on any other state concern by emailing his office at contact@staterepwalker53.com. All submissions will be reviewed by Walker and his staff. Ideas are asked to be submitted by Wednesday, Jan. 23 to be considered.

“No bill idea is too small nor too big,” Walker said. “Regardless of your political leaning or your background, I want to hear how we can work together to move our state forward.”
