EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – Following Gov. Pritzker’s singing of a new executive order Wednesday on economic workforce development, state Rep. LaToya Greenwood, D-East St. Louis, released the following statement:

“I am thrilled that Gov. Pritzker is taking swift action to lift up Illinois’ working men and women, particularly right here in our community. It is an honor and privilege to stand alongside Gov. Pritzker, fellow elected officials, and other community leaders as we take corrective action to support job creation and economic expansion for those who call our state home.

“Here in Illinois, our economy is dynamic – constantly evolving and changing. That is why it is critical that we take steps to usher in proposals that prioritize job growth and make us more competitive again. It is extremely encouraging to have a governor back on the side of working men and women.

“I am committed to ongoing and future efforts that will create jobs right here within our own community, as well as across the state. The future of Illinois is looking brighter by the day.”
