SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz, D-Glenview, is encouraging area residents in the 17th District to submit their ideas for new bills for the upcoming legislative session.

“The diversity of our community means that we offer many perspectives and approaches to the challenges our state faces,” Gong-Gershowitz said. “I encourage local residents to think about their own unique experiences and consider new ways that our government can change or improve to help our community.”

Residents can email Gong-Gershowitz’s constituent service office at info@gonggershowitz.com to submit their legislative suggestions or to request a meeting to discuss their ideas in person. All submissions will be reviewed and considered for new potential bills. Since the new session has already begun, residents are asked to submit their requests as soon as possible.

“The best way for me to be an effective legislator is to hear directly from the constituents I represent and to put their ideas into action,” Gong-Gershowitz said. “I look forward to working with residents to address the challenges facing our community and our state.”
