EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – Following the inauguration of Illinois’ 43 rd Governor, J.B. Pritzker, state Rep. LaToya Greenwood, D-East St. Louis, released the following statement:
“During his first day on the job, Gov. Pritzker signed two executive orders to demand greater transparency from state agencies and took action to raise the wages of state employees. It is clear that the governor is not wasting any time in moving our state forward.
“Fortunately, the era of Bruce Rauner’s failed leadership has come to an end. It is important now more than ever that we seize this opportunity to prioritize our shared goals to get Illinois back on track.
“While the state faces many existing and dynamic challenges, I pledge to work willingly and openly with Gov. Pritzker’s administration to restore our community’s core values – creating jobs, expanding social service programs, and providing access to health care. I look forward to serving the people of this district to the best of my ability.”
