SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Kelly Cassidy, D-Chicago, was sworn into her fifth term in office on Wednesday, vowing to remain committed to protecting the state’s vital services for residents, pursuing smart criminal justice reforms and working to implement progressive policies that move Illinois forward.

“This year marks a new start to Illinois government, one that is focused on solving problems and getting results,” said Cassidy. “I look forward to working with our new governor and my colleagues to put forward an aggressive legislative agenda that provides smart policies that focus on the real issues we face in Illinois, like our schools, health care and safety from gun violence.”

“I came to Springfield to help ensure our state government runs efficiently and provides services to those who need them,” said Cassidy. “I encourage anyone to share their ideas, concerns or issues by visiting my office located at 5533 N. Broadway St. and open during regular business hours on weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.”
