ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – On Wednesday, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, welcomed experts from the Sierra Club, Illinois Environmental Council and Midwest Sustainability Group to Grayslake to provide a critical update about the important work being done at the local, state and federal levels of government to protect our natural spaces, water and air.

“Hosting events like my annual environmental issues form are part of my continued efforts to remain an open and accessible elected official,” Yingling said. “Issues like renewable energy, sustainable transportation plans and the protection of our woods and wetlands are very important to people I represent in Lake County. This forum was the perfect chance for me to enlist the community in the discussions about the ways we can continue to protect our environment for generations to come.”
