ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is reminding residents to take advantage of his free upcoming document shredding day with prescription drug take-back services provided by the Grayslake-Hainesville Police on Saturday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m at Grayslake North High School.

“I encourage people utilize this great opportunity to help prevent identity theft and the misuse of prescription drugs,” said Yingling.  “I am looking forward to helping residents protect their information and their community and am grateful to partner with our local law enforcement agencies.”

Yingling’s free event gives residents the opportunity to safely dispose of any documents that contain personal information, or any unwanted prescription drugs. Many residents unknowingly throw away printed personal information such as bank receipts, prescription receipts, credit card statements or old bills, which may then end up in the hands of identity thieves. Residents must remove all staples and paperclips before arriving, and each car is limited to two bags or small boxes. Participants will not be able to dispose of bags or boxes.

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which includes portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Hainesville, Ingleside the Round Lake Communities, Wauconda, and Wildwood.  For more information please contact state Representative Yingling’s full time constituent office at 847-231-6262 or repsamyingling@gmail.com.
