SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Emanuel “Chris” Welch, D-Hillside, visited the tech project displays by Proviso West High School and Lindop Elementary School at the annual Tech Day at the state’s Capitol rotunda.

“It’s really heart-warming to see students engage in the important field of science, math and technology. It’s the future,” said Welch. “I hope these students never lose sight of their dreams and continue to pursue this highly important field.”

Students from both Proviso West High School and Lindop Elementary schools traveled down to Springfield to showcase their creations for the annual Tech Day event at the Capitol. Welch stopped by to visit each student as well as to get an in-depth analysis of the students’ designs. Tech Day increases awareness of the role of technology in education.
