Crespo Honors Local Schaumburg Eagle Scouts

“I’ve known these young men since they were Webelos, so it was honor to be present for this milestone in their lives,” Crespo said. “Gavin and James’ leadership, work ethic, and commitment to the community is admirable and I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.”

Crespo honored Christensen and Vargo by passing House Resolution 1021 and House Resolution 981, highlighting the work they’ve done to achieve their prestigious rankings. Christensen’s Eagle Scout project was completed at Church of the Cross, where he built two planting areas. Vargo cleared a large portion of brush at the Heritage Farm on Schaumburg and Plum Grove Road. Both young men plan to attend Harper College after graduation. Christensen plans to pursue a career as a science educator and Vargo will pursue a career in engineering.
