SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – To help local residents determine new ways to save on their income taxes, state Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, will be hosting an income tax seminar on Thursday, March 22 at the Hoffman Estates Branch Library, located at 1550 Hassell Rd in Hoffman Estates.

“Filing taxes can occasionally present challenges that leave taxpayers with questions,” Mussman said. “Since tax season has kicked into high gear, I’m hosting an income tax seminar to help local residents identify cost-saving practices and areas where exemptions may apply.”

Mussman will be joined by financial experts from the Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois as well as the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability to help those seeking assistance in filing their taxes. This event is free and open to the public, and any and all local residents are encouraged to attend.
