SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, shared the following statement in the moments after the governor’s State of the State address:

“After listening to the state of the state address, I believe now more than ever we need to come together to address the issues that are most important to the working families here in Illinois.

“We all need to come to the table and address the issue of the property taxes that are hurting homeowners, the need for a balanced budget that will encourage stability and protect the vital services that so many in our state rely upon.

“At the end of the day, the constituents that I talk to on a daily basis are tired of the partisan games and want us all to come together and work toward solutions. Now that this is behind us, I hope we can get to work.”
