CHICAGO – State Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, and state Sen. Bill Cunningham, D-Chicago, are hosting a free will and estate planning seminar on Thursday, February 1 at 12:00 p.m. at Barroco’s Restaurant, located at 3047 W. 111th St., in Chicago.

“The Estate Planning Seminar will be an opportunity for residents throughout the community to learn more about topics such as wills and trusts, and powers of attorney,” Hurley said. “It can be extremely stressful for loved ones to be left with sorting out these things in the event of an unexpected tragedy. Being proactive and having a plan in place is a good idea, and I encourage members of the community to attend to learn more about these tools. With the proper knowledge, it can allow for a less stressful future.”

Invited guests to speak include Tom Walsh, financial advisor with Edward Jones; Andy Kruger from American Funds; and Tom Olofsson, an estate planning attorney from Beverly to give a presentation to attendees on these important issues. The seminar is a working lunch and is open to the public without charge.

Due to limited seating, advance registration is required by calling Rep. Fran Hurley’s constituent service office at 773-445-8128, or by emailing RepFranHurley@gmail.com.
