ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. John Connor, D-Romeoville, visited with educators at the Valley View Early Childhood Center to discuss evidence based practices to benefit the development of special needs children.

“Investing in the needs of developmentally disabled children is critical in preparing them for a bright future,” Connor said. “The team at Valley View Early Childhood Center helps at-risk, special needs children early in their development to minimize the progression of learning disabilities. Educating and preparing our children early brings long-term gains to the community, and this helps them overcome challenges and lead productive lives.”

Connor’s meeting at the newly renovated Valley View Early Childhood Center was an effort by educators and advocates to collaborate and discuss ways to invest in early intervention, further benefiting vulnerable youth.
