JOLIET, Ill. – State Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, is inviting local veterans and their families to come to a free Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Stone City VFW Post 2199, located at 124 Stone City Dr. in Joliet.

“The men and women serving in the armed forces, as well as their families, make many sacrifices every day to help keep our country safe,” Manley said. “Our community is truly indebted to everyone who has bravely served in the military. This breakfast is just a small way for us to show our appreciation.”

Manley is hosting this free Veterans Appreciation Breakfast with state Rep. Larry Walsh, Jr., D-Elwood, state Sen. Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, D-Joliet, and state Sen. Pat McGuire, D-Crest Hill. After breakfast, veterans and their families will have the opportunity at 11 a.m. to get a personal tour of the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, located at 20953 W. Hoff Rd. in Elwood. Those who wish to tour the cemetery must provide their own transportation.

“I am really looking forward to spending time with local veterans and their families,” Manley said. “I encourage anyone interested in coming to RSVP so we can reserve your spots for the breakfast and tour.”
