CICERO, Ill. – State Rep. Elizabeth “Lisa” Hernandez, D-Cicero, is partnering with MacNeal Hospital to provide a free Diabetes Screening and Flu Shot Clinic on Diabetes Awareness Day, Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at MacNeal Hospital, located at 3249 South Oak Park Ave. in Berwyn.
“With winter approaching, it is important to take precautions, like getting an annual flu shot, to help keep ourselves and our family healthy,” Hernandez said. “I want to thank MacNeal Hospital for partnering with me to provide these necessary resources. I encourage everyone to stop by and help keep our community healthy by getting screened for diabetes and getting their annual flu shot.”
Join Rep. Hernandez to receive free glucose and cholesterol screenings, and learn about diabetic eye disease and how to keep your eyes healthy, courtesy of MacNeal Hospital. Residents looking to protect themselves and their families by receiving a flu vaccine, must bring their insurance card and a valid ID.
