EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – State Rep. LaToya Greenwood, D-East St. Louis, partnered with the Illinois Department of Employment Security and St. Clair County’s workforce development group to connect local job seekers with over 30 employers at her community job fair.
“I appreciate all the employers, vendors and community organizations that helped to make our community job fair a success,” Greenwood said. “Our job fair was an opportunity for individuals to connect directly with potential employers and help give our friends and neighbors the chance at a good-paying job.”
Greenwood’s job fair was attended by over 100 job seekers, and brought out over 30 vendors and employers. Attendees had the opportunity to update their resumes on the spot and also renew their driver’s license and purchase their vehicle registration through Sectary of State Jesse White’s mobile office unit. Greenwood’s community job fair opened early to give veterans and service members priority in finding employment.
