ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – Continuing his long-standing tradition of hosting informal gatherings at local coffee shops, state Rep. Sam Yingling will be meeting residents on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to noon at Starbucks located at 60 E. Belvidere Rd., in Hainesville.
“Meeting with residents in coffee shops in every community in my district helps facilitate an open and accessible dialog with the people I represent,” Yingling said. “These casual events allow me to answer residents’ questions and address any state and local concerns they may have. These also help establish meaningful connections to the people I serve, and I always look forward to this sort of event.”
All local residents are invited to join Yingling for this free event to get updates from Springfield and ask questions about state issues or pending legislation. Yingling will also be accepting supplies for his Domestic Abuse Shelter Supply Drive to benefit A Safe Place. Yingling is collected new, unopened paper goods and toiletries to benefit the shelter.
“Throughout my time in office, I make myself available through a number of ways such as hosting town halls, providing helpful seminars and having round tables to discuss the issues in a more personal setting,” Yingling said. “I firmly believe one of my chief responsibilities of being a successful policy maker is to be accessible to the people I serve and these meetings are an effective way to help accomplish my goal.”
