ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Senior citizens, service providers and local small businesses from across the community joined state Rep. John Connor, D-Lockport, for his first annual Senior Fair and Celebration last Friday at the Romeoville Recreation Center.

“Senior citizens have worked their entire lives to build up our communities and strengthen our neighborhoods for the next generation,” said Connor. “My senior fair is an easy way to help seniors access all of the services and programs available to help them lead healthy and enjoyable lives. I wanted to show my appreciation of the local providers and businesses who step up every day to ensure senior citizens in our community are treated with care and the respect that they deserve.”

Friday’s Senior Celebration featured vendors from various state and local organizations that are senior-focused. Attendees were able to receive free health screenings, entertainment, consumer protection advice and other services.
