DECATUR, Ill. – To help local residents and job seekers connect with employers and find pathways to career opportunities, state Rep. Sue Scherer, D-Decatur, partnered with Workforce Investment Solutions to host a free community job fair .
“Some of our local residents struggle to find employment opportunities and today we were able to connect jobseekers with over 40 different employers,” Scherer said. “Job seekers were able to submit applications and resumes at the job fair and I am thrilled that members of our community were able to find employment opportunities today.”
Over 100 attendees and 45 employers participated in state Rep. Scherer’s Annual Community Job Fair. Job seekers were able to submit applications and resumes as well as speak to potential employers. State Rep. Sue Scherer partnered with Workforce Investment Solutions to host her annual free job fair, an organization dedicated to helping members of the community find employment opportunities.
