ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, will host a discussion about environmental issues facing the state with representatives from the Sierra Club and the Illinois Environmental Council on Monday, August 21 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Byron Colby Barn located at 1561 Jones Point Rd. in Grayslake.
“Conservation and the responsible stewardship of our waterways, land and air are very important to many Lake County residents,” Yingling said. “This annual forum on issues concerning the environment helps me connect with the people I serve and provide them with updates from advocates and experts in environmental policy.”
Yingling’s forum provides attendees with an update about important environmental issues facing the state. Residents will have the opportunities to share their own thoughts on issues such as conservation, preservation and energy efficiency.
“Green technology can help us build a strong, modern economy that creates good-paying jobs in fields that will provide lasting careers,” Yingling added. “Pro-environment policies not only help us protect our natural resources for future generations, they can help us create jobs and make Illinois an economic leader.”
