EVERGREEN PARK, Ill. – State Rep. Kelly Burke, D-Evergreen Park, is inviting area residents to join her for free Yoga in the Park on Saturdays this summer at 9 a.m. at 50 Acre Park, located at 91st and California in Evergreen Park.
“Studies show that practicing yoga can help reduce stress, improve health, and is a fun way to get outdoors and enjoy early summer morning,” Burke said “I am thrilled to be teaming up with the Evergreen Park Recreation Department to offer this free and fun activity to area residents.”
Burke is partnering with the Evergreen Park Recreation Department to sponsor free Yoga in the Park sessions on Saturdays at 9 a.m. in August and early September. Each session will be led by a certified yoga instructor. Attendees should bring their own yoga mats. Sessions can be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. All area residents are invited to participate. The dates of the yoga sessions are: Aug. 5, 12, 19, and 26 and Sept. 2.
