ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is inviting local residents to join him for coffee and a conversation about state and local issues on Saturday, August 26 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wauconda Café located at 405 W. Liberty St. in Wauconda.

“Meeting with residents in places like coffee shops throughout our community allow residents to meet with me in a relaxed setting to discuss the issues that matter most to them,” Yingling said. “These sorts of gatherings enable me to be more accessible to the people I represent and to engage with them in an open way not easily afforded through email, social media or by phone.”

Yingling’s event is free and open to the public, and attendees will be able to ask questions about state and local issues. In addition to these coffee shop constituent meet-ups, Yingling regularly hosts mobile office hours throughout the district, goes door-to-door to speak with residents, and hosts free events and seminars to help connect residents to state and local resources.

“My coffee shop meet-ups are one of the many ways I seek to enlist the thoughts of those I serve,” Yingling added. “I hope residents will be able to join me and look forward to our discussions about the very serious issues facing the State of Illinois.”
