ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – In an effort to highlight local entrepreneurs and businesses, state Rep. John Connor, D-Lockport, is asking residents to submit businesses they feel should be recognized as “Business of the Month” in the 85th District.
“Local businesses are the lifeblood of our workforce and our community,” Connor said. “It’s important to keep money within our community and to support small and medium sized businesses that have decided to invest in our area.”
Connor is asking residents to submit the name and location of local small and mid-sized business that they believe the representative should honor as “Business of the Month.” In addition to recognizing what the business does, Connor will meet with the owner to discuss how he can best represent them in Springfield and shape policy to help business grow and develop in Illinois. Businesses available for consideration must be in the 85th District, which includes parts of Bolingbrook, Crest Hill, Lemont, Lockport, Romeoville and Woodridge.
“In order to be effective at my job, it’s critical that I receive input from influential community stakeholders who will shape the development of our region,” Connor said. “We should identify and recognize the entrepreneurs committed to building successful businesses that will employ our neighbors and future generations to come.”
To submit a business for consideration, please contact Connor’s full-time constituent service office at 815-372-0085 or email RepConnor@gmail.com.
