DES PLAINES, Ill. – Continuing his efforts to bring resources into the district for both residents and businesses, state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, has invited representatives from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office for his Business Fraud Seminar on Tuesday, July 25th, from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Elk Grove Village Public Library, located at 1001 Wellington Avenue in Elk Grove Village.

“Many companies these days are experiencing network hacking and data breaches,” Moylan said. “This seminar will show business owners how they can properly protect themselves from these vulnerable attacks and demonstrate proven ways to proactively protect confidential information.”

This free event will allow the representatives from the Attorney General’s office the opportunity to discuss with business owners about the many proven ways local companies can best protect themselves from data breaches. The Attorney General’s office will also present about some of the popular scams they see affect businesses in Illinois.

“Last year, there were almost 500 data breaches to businesses alone,” Moylan said. “Many of these attacks go unnoticed until it’s too late. That is why it is crucial that we present businesses with the appropriate tools to protect themselves and their consumers.”

For more information about this event, or to RSVP please contact Moylan’s full-time constituent service office at 847-635-6821 or email StateRepMoylan@gmail.com.
