SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. John Connor, D-Lockport, issued the following statement Friday as budget negotiations continue:
“Today’s bipartisan agreement on the framework of a budget was a sign of progress, but there is more work to be done. This budget would cut $3 billion by eliminating government bureaucracy and invest in areas vital for our seniors, veterans and disabled residents. I am ready to work as long as it takes to get a budget that works for the people I represent. I am urging all sides and Governor Rauner to continue working together to end this budget crisis. Let’s get this done.”
