ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is announcing that his annual Document Shred Event will be held on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Grayslake North High School located at 1925 IL Rte. 83 in Grayslake.
“My annual document shredding event provides the people I serve a free opportunity to safely and securely dispose of important papers that contain their sensitive information,” Yingling said. “I encourage residents to utilize this important service and to stop by to say hello or ask me questions about state and local matters.”
Yingling is also partnering with the Hainesville Grayslake Police Department to accept old, expired or unneeded prescription drugs. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Residents will be helped on a first come first serve basis until the shred truck reaches capacity, are limited to two boxes, and should remove paperclips and staples before arriving. Residents will also be able to recycle their old medications. Syringes will not be collected on-site but can be dropped off at a local police station.
“I am dedicated to advocating for policies that protect taxpayers and providing helpful services that benefit my constituents,” Yingling continued. “I look forward to hosting this Shred Day and many more events throughout the summer.”
