JOLIET, Ill. – As part of her ongoing efforts to listen to the concerns of her district, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, visited with local residents at a recent “Coffee and Conversation” that she hosts throughout the district.

At her stop, Manley had the opportunity to visit with a group of friends that meet at the McDonald’s on Weber Road on a regular basis to catch up and discuss the news of the day. The group refers to themselves as “McFriends,” and Manley had an opportunity to speak to them about issues being debated in Springfield.

“I had the best time talking with the ‘McFriends,’” Manley said. “This bi-partisan group of friends may disagree about what is happening in the world and share their strong feelings, but after each exchange they talked about how much they enjoyed each other’s company and friendship. Their spirit of camaraderie and bi-partisanship is something I have practiced in Springfield since taking office. These gentlemen were a pleasure to spend time with and truthfully, I hated to leave.”

For more information about upcoming Coffee and Conversations or other events, please contact Manley’s constituent service office at 815-725-2741 or RepManley@gmail.com.
