SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – State Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, recently joined local volunteers at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg to package and seal nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children across the globe.
“There are many excellent organizations here in our community that are working to make a difference in people’s lives locally and globally, and I want to do everything I can to support them,” said Mussman. “In Springfield, I will continue urging the governor to do his job and propose a responsible budget that provides for the services families need, and I’m also using my time in the community to volunteer with groups like Feed My Starving Children that reflect the best of our neighborhoods. All in all, I’m just happy to lend a hand in a small way.”
Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a non-profit organization that provides nutritious MannaPack meals to hungry children around the world. Mussman was part of a shift of volunteers that prepared 12,528 meals, which will feed 34 children for an entire year.
