CHICAGO – State Rep. Sonya Harper, D-Chicago, is partnering with the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to host an Energy Efficiency Forum to highlight ways to save on energy costs and be more energy efficient. The event will take place Saturday, January 28 at Sherman Park Library located at 5440 S. Racine, Chicago from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to learn about ways to save on energy costs as we fight through the winter months,” said Harper. “DCEO will also highlight their available job opportunities and assist with city programs to aid residents like the Community Economic Development Corporation’s (CEDA) Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) in paying utility bills.”
Sonya Harper represents the 6th District which includes all or portions of Armour Square, Bridgeport, Chicago Lawn, Englewood, Back of the Yards, Canaryville, New City and West Englewood in the city of Chicago.
