CHICAGO – State Rep. Camille Lilly, D-Chicago, is asking constituents for their ideas for new bill proposals for the upcoming General Assembly session that begins next month.
“As I go door-to-door, call residents and hold town halls and various events for their feedback, I want to ask them to create fresh ideas for bills that we can pursue for the next year,” said Lilly. “Making government more accessible and accountable as I can is always a top priority, and finding alternative ways to directly engaging the community is very important to me.”
Next month marks the start of the 100th General Assembly, and new ideas for laws are welcome and encouraged from residents throughout the district. Any and all ideas may be submitted to Lilly’s office through phone or by email.
“I look forward to reviewing the new ideas from across the 78th district and using them as potential bill ideas,” said Lilly. “One of my major goals is to always encourage constituents to get civically engaged and to speak up about how we can best improve our communities.”
Lilly represents parts of Franklin Park, Melrose Park, Elmwood Park, River Grove, Oak Park and Chicago. Please contact her office at 708-822-8200, or email her at StateRepCamilleYLilly@gmail.com.
