ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – As a new legislative session begins, state Rep. John Connor, D-Lockport, is asking residents to submit their ideas for legislation that they believe can help improve the state.

“As a lawmaker, I want to make sure that I am sharing the opinions and concerns of those I represent in our community,” Connor said. “Whether you are a teacher, a business owner or from any other background, I want to ensure that your expertise and ideas are considered.”

Connor is asking residents to submit their legislative ideas by calling him at 815-372-0085, emailing RepConnor@gmail.com, or by mailing to his district office, located at 209 W. Romeo Rd., Romeoville, IL 60446. Connor will review submitted ideas, and may have them drafted for consideration in Springfield. Residents must submit their ideas by Jan. 22 to be considered.

“No idea is too small or too large,” Connor said. “Since taking office, I have had the opportunity to meet residents one-on-one at their doors, at events, and on visits to local schools, not for profit organizations and businesses. We often talk about the work being done at the capital, and I look forward to seeing the various ideas that residents come up with and making them an active part of the process.”
