DES PLAINES, Ill. – In a continued effort to save money for local residents, state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, invited representatives from the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) to meet with individuals and go through their bills one-on-one at a free utility bill clinic Tuesday.

“It’s always great to help people in the community save money and show them ways they can protect themselves from burdensome rates,” Moylan said. “I’d rather see people save their money and enjoy a good quality of life, not be taken advantage of by skyrocketing utility bills, harmful cuts and excessive taxes.”

Moylan hosted the utility bill clinic on Tuesday to help show people in the area how they can save money on their utility bills. Moylan was joined by representatives from CUB who were able to meet with attendees and go through recent utility bills to find ways that residents can avoid overspending.

“Thank you to the Citizens Utility Board for coming out and helping people with their bills,” Moylan said. “As we begin to face the coldest months of the year, it’s important that residents are able to affordably heat their homes.”
