SCHAUMBURG, Ill. –State Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, visited Hi-Grade Welding and Manufacturing in Schaumburg recently to meet with workers and business leaders and discuss how lawmakers in Springfield can best promote sustainable job growth in the Schaumburg community.

“Small businesses are a vital part of any successful city or suburb,” said Mussman. “It’s important for me to have an active relationship with area business leaders so that I can stay on top of the needs of our own business community. At Hi-Grade, we talked at length about the importance of job training programs from accredited institutions like our nearby Harper College, to usher in a new generation of skilled labor into the Schaumburg community.”

Hi-Grade Welding and Manufacturing received the Village of Schaumburg’s October Business of the Month award and has invested nearly a quarter of a million dollars into the rehabilitation of their new home in Schaumburg since 2014.
