HARRISBURG, Ill. – State Rep. Natalie Phelps Finnie, D-Elizabethtown, is asking Southern Illinoisans to reach out to her constituent service office to suggest new ideas for legislation that they believe will benefit the area and the state as a whole.
“I want to encourage the folks that I represent to share any ideas they may have for legislation that would help our region and make things better for the people that live in Illinois,” said Phelps Finnie. “I truly believe that there are some commonsense reforms that can be put into place to cut bureaucratic red tape and get Southern Illinois back on track.”
The Illinois General Assembly will reconvene for the spring session beginning in January. Phelps Finnie is asking constituents that have ideas for possible future laws to share their thoughts with her by contacting her constituent service office, by calling 618-253-4189 or by emailing RepPhelpsFinnie@gmail.com.
“Input from the people that I represent helps me better understand what is wanted and needed across Southern Illinois, which helps me to do a better job as your state Representative,” continued Phelps Finnie. “I want to work with the folks that I represent to help Southern Illinois prosper both now and in the long run.”
Phelps Finnie represents all or portions of the following counties: Alexander, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline and Union.
