CHICAGO – To help prepare residents for the cold winter months and flu season, state Rep. Jaime Andrade, D-Chicago, is partnering with Ald. Deb Mell to offer a free Flu Shot Clinic

“With flu season approaching, one of the most effective ways you can combat the spread of this illness is by getting your annual flu vaccine,” Andrade said. “The flu can be dangerous, especially for young children and senior citizens. By getting the flu vaccination, not only are you protecting yourself, but you are also helping to stop the spread of the disease to those most susceptible to it.”

Andrade and Mell’s free Flu Shot Clinic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the 33rd Ward Office, located at 3001 W. Irving Park Rd.

“I encourage residents to stop by and help keep our community healthy by getting their annual flu shot,” Andrade said. “This is an important service that the city provides. For anyone that can’t make it next Saturday, there are other free clinics that will be offered.”

If residents aren’t able to attend the health clinic on Oct. 21, the City of Chicago is offering flu clinics throughout the city over the next few weeks. Locations, dates and times can be found at the following link: http://bit.ly/2x2p9ib.
