Yingling Invites Residents and Business Owners to Education, Economic Development Citizens’ Advisory Committee Meetings

ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – Following the success of his recent meetings regarding environmental and women’s issues, and ahead of the fall veto session, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is continuing to call on citizens to participate in the legislative process by joining his upcoming citizen advisory committees on education and economic development. These meetings allow residents to discuss legislation and offer new ideas regarding state issues.

“My advisory committees give me another chance to hear from members of our community and offer my constituents more opportunities to stay informed or offer new perspectives on state matters,” Yingling said. “Some of the conversations we share at these meetings have resulted in legislative action, and I strongly encourage residents from my district to join me this October.”

Yingling encourages all local residents with an interest in these topics to join his committees and attend advisory committee meetings. Participants do not need to be an expert in the field of any advisory committee. Interested participants should contact Rep. Yingling’s Citizens’ Advisory Committee fall meeting schedule:
• Economic Development Citizens’ Advisory Committee: Tuesday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Round Lake Area Park District Community Center’s East Multi-Purpose Room located at 814 Hart Rd. in Round Lake.
• Education Citizens’ Advisory Committee: Tuesday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Grayslake Public Library, Meeting Rooms ABC located at 100 Library Ln. in Grayslake.

“By engaging with the residents of our area and talking about specific ideas, my goal is to bring more voices into the conversations about the issues our state faces and the solutions to these struggles,” Yingling continued. “These gatherings also allow me to talk about some of the work I’ve done, and it gives people a direct line to talk about legislation.”
