AURORA, Ill. – Yesterday, state Rep. Linda Chapa LaVia, D-Aurora, partnered with the Citizens Utility Board to offer residents the chance to review their utility bills and find ways to help people lower their costs.
“It has been a hot and humid summer, so those who attended this event left with great knowledge on how to live comfortably without breaking the bank,” Chapa LaVia said. “People are seeing a lot of their hard-earned money go right out of their pockets for property taxes and other daily fees, and so I want to be able to help people keep more of their earnings as often as possible.”
Chapa LaVia will again be available to meet with residents on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. for a Mortgage Relief Seminar at Fox Valley Montessori High School, located at 850 Commonwealth, in Aurora. Residents will have the opportunity to save additional money on their mortgage payments with assistance from the Attorney General’s office. The event is free and open to the public. No reservation is necessary.
