CAVE-IN-ROCK, Ill. – The office of state Representative Brandon Phelps, D-Harrisburg, recently hosted satellite office hours in Cave-in-Rock earlier this week.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to bring my staff to different areas of Southern Illinois to help make my office more accessible to the people that I represent,” said Phelps. “I appreciate input from my constituents, and am grateful to hear different perspectives on how to tackle important issues facing our state.”
In recent months Phelps has hosted satellite office hours in several communities throughout Southern Illinois, and plans to continue doing so, in an effort to help make his staff more easily accessible to area residents.
Phelps’ staff will be in Goreville for satellite office hours next week, on Friday, June 30 from 10 am until 12 pm. Satellite office hours will be at Goreville Village Hall, located at 105 West Collins Avenue. Area residents are encouraged to stop by to meet with members of Phelps’ staff to discuss issues facing Southern Illinois, or for help gaining access to state-related services.
“I want to recognize all of the hard work that Representative Phelps has put in for the people of Southern Illinois and his efforts to make government more accessible,” said Marty Kaylor, Mayor of Cave-in-Rock. “I know that Brandon has fought hard for the issues that are important to us, such as bringing jobs back to Southern Illinois and Second Amendment rights, and I am confident that he will continue to do what’s right while he represents us in Springfield.”
