Mussman Reminds Residents of Award Program Honoring Local Businesses

Springfield, Ill – State Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, is reminding residents that they can honor local businesses that are working to strengthen the community by nominating them for her ‘Good Neighbor Business of the Month’ Award.

“Small business owners are pivotal leaders in our community, and I think we should recognize those that go above and beyond for our area,” Mussman said. “If you know of a local business that is working to give back, then please get in touch with my office and nominate them today.”

Mussman’s ‘Good Neighbor Business of the Month’ Award relies on residents to nominate businesses going above and beyond for the community so that Mussman can recognize them. The award is given monthly to one area business that is working to give back to local charitable organizations or to needy families. Nominating forms are available at Mussman’s district office, located at 15 W. Weathersfield Way in Schaumburg. Residents wishing to nominate a business can also email Mussman at staterepmussman@gmail.com or send a private Facebook message at Facebook.com/staterepmussman.

“Businesses that support their community shouldn’t go unnoticed,” Mussman said. “Please take a few minutes to nominate one of our many outstanding, civic-minded local businesses and help them get the recognition they deserve.”
