ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – Over two dozen residents attended a town hall meeting hosted by state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, at the Grayslake Village Hall on Saturday.

“I find it appalling that some lawmakers quite literally sneak out the back doors of their office to avoid their constituents,” Yingling said. “I pride myself in being an open and accessible lawmaker who champions pro-taxpayer policies and am thrilled dozens of people showed up to my events to ask questions and learn about the work I am doing to better serve our area.”

Yingling hosted a series of town hall meetigs during a brief recess before returning to Springfield for the duration of May. Residents joined him at various locations throughout the 62nd District to ask him questions and to learn about the work he is doing to deliver tax relief. While back from the state capitol, Yingling met with businesses, not-for-profit organizations and residents concerned about the state budget impasse and pending legislation in Springfield.
