SPRINGFIELD, Ill.  – State Rep. Jaime Andrade, D-Chicago, visited with students from Carl Von Linne School that were participating in Tech 2017, an event that allows students to showcase their innovative use of technology in the classroom.

“We need to make sure that we are giving schools the resources they need to implement tech-focused curriculum to provide students with opportunities to learn the skills required to embark on rewarding careers in computer science and technology,” Andrade said. “It was very impressive to see the photography display that the students from Carl Von Linne presented and I congratulate them on their hard work.”

The Students from Carl Von Linne presented on their learning experience with digital photography and how they learned to plan, develop, critique and revise a Google website featuring their photography, all while gaining professional level technical skills to further their career opportunities in digital media.
