SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Jerry Costello, D-Smithton, co-hosted a gun rights update meeting with the National Rifle Association (NRA) on Thursday to keep citizens and sportsmen aware of recent changes to Illinois law concerning the second amendment.
“As an outdoorsman myself, it is extremely important to keep other sportsmen and citizens who are concerned about the second amendment updated on recent changes to the law and pending legislation,” said Costello. “I want to thank Todd Vandermyde with the NRA for joining me to speak with citizens who have questions or concerns about concealed carry, the FOID card and lessening restrictions on law-abiding gun owners. As always, if people have questions or concerns over gun rights in Illinois, I encourage them to contact my office.”
