CHICAGO, Ill. – State Rep. Theresa Mah, D-Chicago, held a utility bill analysis clinic in coalition with the Citizen’s Utility Board, to help residents understand their utility bills and save money.

“Utility bills are often confusing to read,” said Mah. “Understanding your bill and understanding ways you can cut costs can alleviate some of that frustration that surrounds them.”

The event was held at the Benito Juarez Community Academy. Participants took advantage of one-on-one consultations, offere in three languages. Volunteers also answered numerous questions brought by residents on the topic of alternaitve energy suppliers. Mah is serving her first term in the Illinois General Assembly as State Representative of the 2nd District, which includes the Chicago neighborhoods of Pilsen, Chinatown, Bridgeport, McKinley Park, Brighton Park and Back of the Yards.
