ROCKFORD, Ill. – Continuing her efforts to engage residents on state and local issues, state Rep. Litesa Wallace, D-Rockford, will host a coffee shop stop Monday at 10 a.m. at Katie’s Cup, located at 502 7th St. in Rockford.
“I always look forward to the thoughtful conversations that occur at these meetings,” Wallace said. “We typically have residents from different parts of the city attend, and the discussions we have play an important role in the policy decisions I make as a state representative.”
Wallace will provide attendees with an update on budget talks in Springfield, as well as initiatives she is pushing for at the Capitol. Residents are encouraged to bring questions and engage in the conversation. No reservation is necessary, and the event is free and open to the public.
“It’s important to be accountable to the residents I serve,” Wallace said. “This is an opportunity to receive feedback, and work to ensure their voices are heard in Springfield.”
